Martin Kohler is a researcher and lecturer in urban photography at the HafenCity University (HCU), Hamburg-Germany and teaches „Culture and Cities“ at Leuphana University in Lüneburg-Germany. He holds a diploma in Landscape Architecture from the Universität Hannover. His research and creative work includes curatorship and artistic projects with transformational spaces. Kohler has also worked as journalist like having been editor in chief for the polis magazine for urban development, Wuppertal. He has a profound experience in organizing and conducting international workshops on topics of urban development and worked for universities in Prague, Boston, Rotterdam, Seoul, São Paulo, London.
