Boundary Objects

Boundary objects as objects for debate: Artifacts that can be interpreted differently by different disciplines and therefore promote discussion and interdisciplinary communication. They serve as a common point of reference to build a bridge between different perspectives and thus promote exchange and understanding.

Curiosity-Driven Research

Improvisation and curiosity-driven research: This approach focuses on playful exploration and discovery. Instead of strictly adhering to predetermined methods or results, students are encouraged to gain new insights and develop innovative projects through spontaneous ideas and curiosity.

Transdisciplinarity

Strictly inter- to transdisciplinarity: The inclusion of knowledge and methods from different disciplines enables more comprehensive and flexible problem solving. Transdisciplinarity even goes beyond disciplinary boundaries and integrates non-academic forms of knowledge in order to develop practical and comprehensive solutions for complex issues and to critically scrutinize developments.
